For the SignalLine customer portal and AI receptionist. Last updated 28 September 2026.
SignalLine AI is a trading name of Sparkline Consulting Ltd (England, company no. 16269648; ICO registration ZC143411). For your account data — your email address, business details, and billing — we are the data controller. For the content of your callers' calls, your business decides why and how that data is used, and we process it on your behalf to provide the service.
Your work email (to sign you in — we use one-time links, no passwords), the business details and knowledge answers you add in the dashboard, and your billing details (handled by our payment provider, Stripe — we never see your full card number). When your AI answers a call we process the audio in real time and store the caller's number, the transcript, a summary, and call metadata (time, duration, outcome) so you can review it in your dashboard. Audio recordings are not stored.
To run the service: answering your calls, showing you transcripts, improving your AI's answers from the knowledge you provide, sending you service emails (sign-in links, number activation, billing), and billing you for minutes used. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your callers' conversations to train AI models.
We use vetted service providers for cloud hosting, telephone-network carriage, real-time speech and language processing, transactional email, and payments. They process data only on our instructions, under signed data processing agreements. Our servers are located in the United Kingdom. Some of our providers are based in the United States; for those transfers we rely on the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (or an equivalent approved mechanism) and maintain a transfer impact assessment. A full, named list of subprocessors, with the jurisdiction and transfer mechanism for each, is available in the data-processing agreement we provide to customers on request.
Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and as required for tax and accounting. Call transcripts are deleted 90 days after the call. Call records and AI summaries are kept for 12 months, and any contact details captured during a call for 24 months. You can delete knowledge entries yourself, and you can ask us to delete call data or your whole account at any time.
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and take your data elsewhere. Your callers can exercise the same rights — normally with your business, as the controller of their call data; we help you fulfil those requests. Contact us via the Help & support button in your dashboard or at sales@signalline.io. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
