For customers of the SignalLine AI receptionist. Last updated 28 September 2026.
SignalLine AI is a trading name of Sparkline Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England (company no. 16269648), registered with the ICO as a data controller (ZC143411). These terms cover your paid use of the SignalLine AI receptionist through this portal. Our marketing website has its own separate terms of use.
We provide an AI receptionist that answers calls to a dedicated UK phone number we allocate to your business. You keep your own published number and forward it to ours. The AI answers using the business information, knowledge answers, and settings you provide in your dashboard, and we store transcripts and summaries of those calls for you. Callers are informed they are speaking to an AI assistant.
Pricing is per minute of AI talk-time, at the rate shown when you choose your plan and on your Account page. There is no monthly fee and no minimum. New customers get a 7-day free trial: your card is saved at signup but minutes used during the trial are not charged. After the trial, usage is billed monthly in arrears through our payment provider, Stripe. You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage billing; service continues to the end of the current period.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give the AI (opening hours, prices, policies), for setting up call forwarding with your carrier, and for making sure your use of the service — including any notices you owe your own callers under UK law — fits your business. The service must not be used for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purposes, or for emergency call handling: the AI line is not a substitute for access to 999 or other emergency services.
The AI-line number we allocate remains ours and works only with the service. Your own published number always stays yours, and forwarding is reversible by you at any time with a single carrier code. If your account has no active subscription for an extended period, we may return the allocated number to our pool.
We aim to keep the service available around the clock but do not promise uninterrupted operation; calls depend on carriers and networks outside our control. If something breaks, email support and we will get on it. Service credits and uptime commitments are available on Enterprise agreements only.
How we handle personal data — yours and your callers' — is described in our Privacy notice. In short: you stay in control of your callers' data; we process it to run the service for you; and you can ask us to delete your data by contacting support.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death, personal injury, or fraud). Otherwise, our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost business from a missed or mishandled call.
You can cancel at any time (clause 3). We may suspend or end the service for unpaid invoices, unlawful use, or abuse, and will give reasonable notice where practical. On termination, forwarding stops working and you should remove the divert with your carrier. Your call data is then deleted on the retention schedule set out in our Privacy notice, or sooner if you ask us to delete it.
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email to your account address before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: support via your dashboard, or sales@signalline.io.
